Why TrustAudience
Follower count is a vanity number. What tells you more is who follows an account and what those followers actually post. TrustAudience began as “TrustMRR, but for your audience”: a public board where anyone can check a public X handle and see a read on its followers, with the evidence and limits shown beside the score.
How a check works
A check reads up to 10 recent public posts or replies from each of up to 100 of an account’s newest followers. Each follower is sorted into one of six types (Substantive, Mixed, Repetitive, Silent, Unavailable or Unclear), and the weights of the counted followers average into the Audience score. It is a recent, non-random sample: a read on the newest followers, not a count of real people. A score does not verify audience quality, human identity or AI authorship. The method page has the details.
The guides
The guides are written under this name. Each one carries its publish date and the date it was last checked, and every figure links to a numbered source. TrustAudience’s own numbers in them come only from public reports, in aggregate, and never describe an individual follower.
